Our friends at the William F. Buckley Jr. Program at Yale are hosting the fifth annual (and quite popular) “Disinvitation Dinner” — which each spring makes lemonade from the Left’s attempts to suppress free speech on college campuses by disinviting conservative speakers — in New York City at the Pierre Hotel on Wednesday, April 17.
The guest of honor (dishonor?) will be former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, a member of the disinvited club and a dear friend of our founder (Dr. K gave this beautiful eulogy at WFB’s Memorial Mass in April, 2008). The festivities kick off with cocktails at 6:30, followed by dinner and speechifying at 7:30. Black tie is optional. Merriment is guaranteed. Want to come? Do that: You can get complete information here. The deadline looms, so if you plan to purchase a ticket, do that here.
