McCain is now ahead of Thompson–but they’re both in single digits. The Louisiana Senate race is close, McConnell, Gordon Smith, and Coleman are heavily favored, and so are Mark Warner and Tim Johnson. Republicans are also favored to hold the New Mexico seat.
