You may recall that the White House has asked Congress to increase NEA funding by 15 percent. Earlier this year, First Lady Laura Bush proudly called it “the largest annual increase in more than 20 years.” Gosh, I’d just been thinking how great it would be if the government did something about the state of American dance criticism.
