No doubt you’ve heard that nine District of Columbia city employees have been fired for accessing porn websites at work. But did you get the details? These nine apparently were responsible for 20,000 hits apiece in one year. That’s not a furtive glance now and then. What else did they do all day?
The fired employees worked for the offices of Property Management, Child and Family Services, Contracts and Procurement, and the Office of the Attorney General.
Oh, that’s all right then.
By the way, Adrian Fenty, DC’s mayor, is pretty impressive. Not only does he fire incompetents, he also made a gutsy pick for schools superintendent.
