Since posting this, I’ve learned that David T. Beito and Linda Royster Beito are assembling The Richer Gift of Individualism: The Non-Fiction Political Writings of Zora Neale Hurston, to be published by the University of Illinois Press. David also has written on Hurston here. As it happens, I recently interviewed David for NRO about his current book. I guess I should have asked him what he was planning to do next.
