White House officials will huddle with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and their respective leadership teams Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 in the speaker’s Capitol Office to put some of the finishing touches on a final health care package, according to aides.
The assembled leaders and committee chairs with principal jurisdiction are meeting with the president’s team to discuss the final details of a reconciliation package that can get 51 votes in the Senate and at least 216 in the House, the same aides said.
