The Speaker, late last night:
“Massachusetts has health care and so the rest of the country would like to have that too,” Pelosi said. “So we don’t (think) a state that already has health care should determine whether the rest of the country should.”
….
“We will get the job done,” Pelosi said. “We will get the job done. I am confident of that. I have always been confident of that.”
The Speaker’s right. I mean, it isn’t as if other states that decided they wanted mandated coverage like Masachusetts could just enact legislation at the state level, is it?
What? They can? Oh, thanks Reihan.
