Oh, oh. A scientific study has concluded that about 40% of the “cause” of (white) male homosexuality is genetic. From the Telegraph story:
Homosexuality is only partly genetic with sexuality mostly based on environmental and social factors, scientists believe. A study found that, while gay men shared similar genetic make-up, it only accounted for 40 per cent of the chance of a man being homosexual.
But scientists say it could still be possible to develop a test to find out if a baby was more likely to be gay. In the most comprehensive study of its kind, Dr Michael Bailey, of Northwestern University, has been studying 400 sets of twins to determine if some men are genetically predisposed to being gay.
Such tests could lead to eugenic terminations of fetuses and pre-implantation IVF embryos testing positive for a propensity to be gay–or who don’t, for that matter.
And why not? We are told not only that we have the right to a baby, but to the baby we want.
I’ll tell you why not: Eugenic fetal cleansing violates human exceptionalism and the equal moral worth of each and every one of us simply because we are human.
