Compassion and Choices Hearts Canada Euthanasia

Compassion and Choices has been running a scam for many years. Here’s the baloney pile: It support assisted suicide only for the terminally ill when nothing else can be done to alleviate suffering.

The Canadian Supreme Court just forced both assisted suicide and active lethal injection euthanasia–and not just for the terminally ill, but also for those with psychological suffering–on the entire country.

If C & C really believed their propaganda, it would say that the ruling was far too extreme, and that it would work to keep legalization from going that far here.

Did they? Is the Pope Buddhist? Barbara Coombs Lee turned cartwheels in its press release:

“We applaud and thank the Canadian Supreme Court for placing the patient at the center of fundamental end-of-life decisions. The eloquence of this ruling will inspire everyone who believes in individual freedom at life’s end. We in the U.S. agree that denying people the ability to determine their own medical treatments and the degree of suffering they endure curtails liberty.

We are heartened, as availability of aid in dying in Canada will have an impact here, especially in border states like New York and Maine. Lawmakers know their citizens should not have to travel to another country to achieve peace of mind and comprehensive end-of-life options.”

Is anyone surprised?

Oh well: The cat is now out of the bag. Death-on-demand is the goal of the euthanasia movement, including the mendacious suicide pushers at C & C.
