Liberal Fascism

Armor for the Argument

From the Polireport:

In the upcoming months, conservatives may find themselves in arguments with ignorant liberals who do not realize that the term Fascism, or Fascists are actually liberals. Quite often a conservative may find liberals calling them a Fascist, as George Bush has been named by the far left. The Fascist movement began in the early 1900′s, specifically around the 1920′s. One may arm themselves with the knowledge in Jonah Goldberg’s new book-Liberal Fascism.

Side note: While liberal political professors tend to write out fascism’s very beginnings, English professors however liberal will happily expound on how some of the greatest writer’s of the Lost Generation, were huge FASCISTS! Maybe it’s because English professors tend to be very interested in psychology as well as politics, or because most English professors are writers and envy promotes the desire to say ‘Well Hemingway invented a new style of writing and is very famous today, did you also know he was a huge fascist who thought Hitler was great in the 1920′s? He was so ignorant!’

Whatever the case a trip through the Lost Generation of writer’s lives and work shows that the liberals definitely liked Fascism. Mussiolini and Hitler had lots of fans among the American ex-patriots in France during the 1920′s and 30′s. That’s right, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Sylvia Beach, Langston Hughes, and Gertrude Stein all thought Fascism was cool.
