“Aesthetically, a lot of the stuff built, sculpted or painted in the 1930s had that feel. Check out the sculpture on the Hoover Dam next time you’re out there. It could be Soviet or National Socialist — to my admittedly untrained eyes.” Never mind Hoover Dan. Take a walk around Rockefeller Center some time. That complex could have been plopped down in the middle of Hitler’s planned capital of “Germania” and it would have fit in perfectly. From Prometheus presiding over the skating rink (an odd juxtaposition) to the Soviet-Realism murals by in the lobby, the whole thing reeks of Commie/Fascist aesthetics. Regards, Joe
