A Wall Street Journal poll taken just after Palin announced her resignation found that 43 percent of Republicans and 46 percent of self-identified conservatives don’t want her to run for president. A Battleground poll shows her favorable/unfavorable rating at –5. Even for many Republicans, “Palinism” has taken on a negative connotation.
