Did y’all notice the all-Obama all-the-time news wire treatment of the alleged assassination threats in Florida?
Man who allegedly threatened Obama held without bail — McClatchy Newspapers; Man held in Fla. on charge of threatening Obama — AP The respective stories focus entirely on Obama until you get to the fifth paragraph of each, when they finally happen to share that the guy allegedly also said he wanted to kill Bush. In the words of a witness whom AP quoted, he “wanted to put a bullet in the president’s head.”
So a threat on the life of a sitting president is less serious than a threat on a senator?
Why is this unsurprising?
Obama is a great salesman: Start acting like you’re already the president and the media, at least the Associated Press, will start treating you like you’re already the president.
