The AP’s Report on Corsi: Textbook Media Bias

A reader points out this gem from AP’s report on Corsi:

Corsi’s book claims the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president and includes innuendoes and false rumors — that he was raised a Muslim and attended a radical black church.

Okay, Associated Press: Let’s hear the evidence that Obama did not spend 20 years in the pews of the Rev. Wright’s church, which preached a doctrine that is 1. center on black identity issues and 2. radical, ergo “radical black church.”

Andrew McCarthy reports all about it here.

This is an unvarnished, obvious falsehood, printed by the Associated Press, soon to be reprinted in most of America’s newspapers, designed to advance the campaign of Barack Obama and to diminish his critics. If that is not a textbook example of media bias, what is?
The Associated Press needs to issue a correction of this item. Media Blog readers may want to contact their local newspapers to point out this falsehood and to ask local publishers to contact the AP about this biased reporting. When it comes to the AP, don’t write a letter to the editor, contact the publisher. Publishers write the checks that keep the AP in the bias business.
Let us know how the publishers respond and we’ll post any interesting findings here.
