Arab Press Cartoons Protest Lack of Freedom of Expression in Arab Media

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), an independent organization that translates and analyzes the media of the Middle East, has just posted an important collection of cartoons published in the Arab press last month dealing with the lack of freedom of expression in the Arab world, including press censorship and the arrest and detention of journalists.

The cartoons, drawn to mark World Press Freedom Day, can be viewed here.
They sure mark a welcome change to cartoons like these and these.
