Reader Dave sends this in:
Just read your blog post about the malware at the NYT site, and thought to send you this nugget:
I was just thinking of firing off emails to my congressfolk today, and googled “acorn funding vote feingold” in order to see how my Senators voted (both dems who voted in favor of cutting off their funding, alright!)
First link was some tweet feed that coincidentally had unrelated Acorn and Feingold stories — no help.
Second link is a malware site that tries to download bogus antivirus software!!
Next link I tried was a message board posting that had been removed by the moderator . . . .
thehill.com (“Cornyn Praises ACORN vote”) at #4 was the only thing remotely like an MSM site in the first 10 search results.
A bit further down the list there were are some “right wing blogs” (where I did find a list of ayes and nays on the vote).
And this is not an isolated incident. I was just searching Google for “Teresea Kaelke,” the ACORN employee who says she shot her husband in “self defense,” and ended up getting one of those “click here: your computer is infected with a virus” pop-ups that won’t go away.
