CBS News Chief White House correspondent Norah O’Donnell sounded noticeably upset when asking Jay Carney about the absence of any tax “revenues” (code for increases) in the debt ceiling compromise today. At one point said, “You gave them everything they wanted and we got nothing.” Video:
Granted, O’Donnell does say something inaudible before the phrase which could be a qualifier like “people are saying,” etc. Still, the emotion in her voice when addressing Carney is telling.
