CNN host Soledad O’Brien and Breitbart.com’s Joel Pollack went at it this morning. O’Brien claimed that Pollack’s characterization of critical race theory as “radical” was a “complete misreading,” and suggested that Pollack–who is a Harvard Law School graduate–should try googling “critical race theory.” She then offered her own definition: “Critical race theory looks at the intersection of race, politics and the law.”
I took O’Brien’s advice and googled “critical race theory.” Lo and behold, the first line of the Wikipedia article reads, “Critical Race Theory (CRT) is an academic discipline focused upon the application of critical theory to the intersection of race, law and power.”
Seems like O’Brien also took her own advice.
