David Axelrod Calls into “Morning Joe”

Obama staffer David Axelrod called into “Morning Joe” this morning to answer questions on Reverend Wright’s address last night in Detroit. He blamed CNN for keeping the story alive by covering the speech and asked Mika just how many times Senator Obama must denounce what Reverend Wright has said in the past.

This comment by Axelrod, however, stood out (at about 8:55):

It should be pretty clear from the events of the last few days that the relationship isn’t that close.
