Here’s a clip of Robert Gibbs talking health care this morning on MSDNC’s Daily Rundown. A few thoughts: One, he really won’t answer Chuck Todd’s question about whether voters should blame Democrats, since they control all of government, if Obama can’t get heath-care reform passed. Two, the new deadline to get something done is –shockingly –moving.
Gibbs says he wants the House to have voted on the pre-Scott Brown Senate bill by the time the president leaves on his trip for Asia on March 18, which lasts a week. Congress is then in recess from March 29-April 11. When Obama will actually sign a bill is anyone’s guess.
