Hamas bans distribution of 3 major West Bank Palestinian dailies in Gaza

This report comes from WAFA, the official PLO news agency, and comes within the context of the ongoing clashes in recent days between Hamas and Fatah, clashes which (needless to say) are not being properly reported in the international media, since Israel didn’t kill anybody. (Fatah dominates the PLO and runs the Palestinian Authority.)

RAMALLAH, July 28, 2008 (WAFA) – Hamas militias in the Gaza Strip have banned three major Palestinian dailies.
The Palestinian Journalists Union in the West Bank said Hamas militias in Gaza prevented the three newspapers, al-Quds, al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida, from being distributed after they arrived in the besieged Strip.
Hamas gangs stormed on Saturday the offices of WAFA News Agency in Gaza, stole computers and files and destroyed all of its equipment and furniture.
