Heightist Outrage

After last week’s misogynistic, puerile, gaseous, piffling, smelly, sexist article blood-boilingly titled “Don’t Marry Career Women,” I’m having to dig down to find new reserves of outrage in order to muster enough adjectives to describe this hateful, chauvinistic, asinine, and above all (no pun intended) heightist article my wife sent to me via Yahoo! News. Get a load of this:

Taller people are smarter: study
While researchers have long shown that tall people earn more than their shorter counterparts, it’s not only social discrimination that accounts for this inequality — tall people are just smarter than their height-challenged peers, a new study finds.
“As early as age three — before schooling has had a chance to play a role — and throughout childhood, taller children perform significantly better on cognitive tests,” wrote Anne Case and Christina Paxson of Princeton University in a paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Taller people are smarter, eh? What is this? The 1950s!
I think this is the kind of article to which we should all hilariously overreact by questioning whether it should even be okay to publish this kind of thing. Working together, we can knock heightism down a peg or two!
