For instance, Janeane Garofalo says that David Webb and other Tea Party organizers are doing it out of racism. Is it petty of me to notice that Mr. Webb is black? And that there’s something weird about a white liberal saying a black guy is helping to organize a public event because he’s an anti-black racist who’s ticked off that there’s a black president?
Garofalo never was somebody who deserved to be taken seriously, but her recent remarks are out of bounds even by dim-bulb Hollywood standards. On the other hand, she is the perfect Olbermann guest: Not especially bright and not especially interesting, she makes Olbermann look good by comparison.
