Via Romenesko, Chris Satullo’s latest column in the Philly Inquirer includes this rebuttal to the “reporters are Bush’s lapdogs” crowd:
How on Earth can anyone claim Bush has been exempt from journalistic criticism? The man’s approval rating is 32 percent. How do you think millions of Americans went from supportive to critical? Reading Noam Chomsky?
I suppose the “lapdogs” crowd would respond that Bush’s numbers would be even lower if it weren’t for those pesky, Bush-loving media.
