Tonight on Hardball, Chris Matthews made the startling (for anyone who watches his show) revelation, “I do not accept the idea that the American people were snookered into Iraq,” and he concluded a long rant about the war by saying, ”You can’t blame everything on Bush.” (To be sure, he attributed these blasphemous hallucinations to a bug he came down with on a recent trip to Mexico.) Matthews’ guest, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, struck dumb, assumed the kind of look a dog might get if you tried to teach it how to light a cigar:
