John J. Miller reviewed the docudrama for NRO today. His piece includes an interview with writer/producer Cyrus Nowrasteh, in which Nowrasteh explains the controversial Sandy Berger scene as follows:
Adds Nowrasteh, in an interview with NRO: “The Berger scene is a fusing and melding of at least a dozen capture opportunities. The sequence is true, but it’s a conflation. This is a docu-drama. We collapse, condense, and create composite characters. But within the rules of docu-drama, we’re well documented.”
This is becoming somewhat of a moot argument. According to 9/11 Commission co-chair and ABC consultant Thomas Kean, ABC has already altered that scene and is working on other changes to appease the Clinton gang.
