Miss Oklahoma Wins. Again

As some of you know, I went to college in Oklahoma, and tonight, I just have one thing to say to my friends in New York:
Do you guys believe me now?
Bragging rights aside though, I think Miss Texas was robbed. Oklahoma was overrepresented in the audience for some reason, and it’s hard not to think that her cheering section influenced the judges. Miss Texas easily took evening wear and talent, and her response to the last question was at least coherent – a standard the other two finalists failed to meet. Perhaps her consolation will be the career in music she seems to be destined for.
Also, I promised you Chris Matthews Follies, and fortunately he did not disappoint. Here’s one of his more memorable exchanges with one of the candidates:

MATTHEWS: Why can’t Oprah find a guy?
MISS GEORGIA: She does have a guy. Steadman.
MATTHEWS: Still?
MISS GEORGIA: Yeah.

But that’s not all. During one of the commercial breaks, I got video footage of Matthews chair-dancing to “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley. For now you’ll just have to take my word for it, but I promise I’ll get the video up soon.
That’s all for this year’s pageant-blogging. Hope to bring you more next year.
UPDATE: You didn’t really think I’d sign off without linking to the swimsuit wire, right? C’mon. You know me better than that.
