At MSNBC, Even the Commercials Are Smug

It used to be that if you were watching MSNBC, you’d at least get a two or three minute break from all the trademark holier-than-thou self-righteousness during commercials. All that changed once the channel started constantly (and I mean constantly) airing its own “Lean Forward” ads. Each one usually consists of a given MSNBC host smugly pontificating about some liberal talking point. One ad has Lawrence O’Donnell talking about how health care reform only went “half way”; another has Ed Schultz ranting about how government only cares about “the Wall Street barons.” Even Olbermann recorded one before he left for Current. In any case, I’ve decided to compile a bunch of the ads in one place. Enjoy (or not):
