The governor of Oregon, a Democrat, has made clear his desire to remove the title of “state climatologist” from an OSU professor who refuses to buy into global-warming alarmism. So far, we’ve heard nary a word of protest from critics in the media who have accused the Bush administration of “muzzling” federal government scientists like James Hansen.
What it reveals, of course, is that these critics don’t give a damn about “muzzling scientists”; muzzling scientists who don’t toe the line is fine by them.
