I really don’t know the reason for this. While watching the new AMC show about the post–Civil War West, Hell on Wheels, I noticed that the actors can say the N-word, but the closed-captioning won’t print it. Is this common and I’ve just missed it? The audio for the line below was, “I imagine you know your way around a nigger.”
