House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected at the Borders in Ann Arbor tonight, for a discussion and signing of her new book, “Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters.”
She apparently should expect to be asked to talk about more than her book though.
The Michigan Republican Party is encouraging folks to head out there – state Party Chair Saul Anizus will be there – to tell her what she should be doing rather than being on a book tour is headed back to Washington and calling the House back into session for a vote on an energy bill.
(Long story short – the Republicans want to force a vote on a bill that would allow more offshore drilling; the Democrats say the Republicans have blocked movement on bills which would do more to help gas prices, like reducing strategic reserves. Only you can say which side you come down on.)
