No Challenge?

Also, my eyes started to bleed when I read Times editor Bill Keller’s defense of the McCain story: “”On the substance, we think the story speaks for itself. In all the uproar, no one has challenged what we actually reported.”
“No one has challenged” the report? How can he say that with a straight face? The two principals in the story, John McCain and Vicki Iseman, have challenged what the Times actually reported. And they actually know whether they slept together; Bill Keller does not.
