There was no verification yesterday on the gun or guns used by Aaron Alexis in the D.C. shooting, but that didn’t stop the Daily News from running with this cover or this Mike Lupica piece on how the AR-15 is used to hunt humans. Turns out Alexis did not use an AR-15, which makes Lupica’s piece — and the cover below — pointless. All the news that’s fit to retract I guess.
