Say what you will about Geraldo Rivera… ok, ok, we get it. He’s overdramatic. He mugs for the camera. He’s not everyone’s favorite journalist. But did he push an Air Force rescue worker out of the way in order to get a better shot of his rescue of a woman in a wheelchair? According to Alessandra Stanley of the NY Times, yes. According to the actual video, no. Fox has asked for a correction, which it says the Times has refused to run. I know from past experience that it usually takes the Times a few days. No matter what you think of Geraldo, it’s pretty clear he got slimed here. You would think it would be enough to point out his performance at the Convention Center Friday night without having to resort to making stuff up. (via Newsbusters)
