Along with their obituary of George McGovern today, the Times included this picture in their online slideshow:
“Senator McGovern went for a jeep ride with Fidel Castro in Cuba in 1975.”
A picture in an obituary is worth a thousand words, if not 10,000.
The Times was kind, however. It could have used this picture of the dictator and the Senator enjoying ice cream:
