A few days ago, Palestinian terrorists attempted to kidnap an Israeli soldier from a Gaza checkpoint. Haaretz has this bit on the Palestinian tactics:
On the Palestinian side, the raid was preceded by relatively meticulous planning. Approaching the fence while disguised as a media crew (which will serve to endanger the lives of real journalists in the future) caused a certain degree of confusion in the ranks of the IDF.
Of course, the reaction from the other side is that Israel has fabricated the entire story:
Abu Ahmed, a spokesman for the military wing of Islamic Jihad, sent a statement to reporters accusing Israel of having stuck the TV signs on the jeep and allowing it to be photographed after it was abandoned by the militants at the border, but Palestinian journalists lent little credence to Abu Ahmed’s denials.
