re: Couric Commentaries

Howard Kurtz noted this morning that the Katie Couric commentaries are not just web creations, but are offered to CBS radio and TV stations. The transcripts are included on the blogs, so you can read them without watching them. Some of them are very anodyne, as in the plagiarism-scandal one (“gee, kids should love libraries.”) Some of them are more political, as in her March 21 commentary boosting Al Gore:  ”Here’s hoping Congress puts partisanship aside, and comes together to act boldly on global warming.”

She said the “scientific consensus is clear” on global warming. The scientific consensus is also clear that she’s transparently a cheerleading liberal.
