Roland Martin: Just Keepin’ It Gangsta

When a poindexterish guy (and an Aggie!) like CNN’s Roland Martin is telling Obama to be more ”gangsta,” that’s got to hurt. Writes Martin:

Obama’s critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let ‘em know that if they aren’t with you, they are against you, and will pay the price.

What could that possibly hope to mean? When Al Capone got bent out of shape, he didn’t give a speech about it. “Gangsta,” spelled thusly, sets off all sorts of racial-cultural bells, of course, but perhaps it is a happy commentary on the current state of American life that “go gangsta” is how one nerdy black liberal tells another nerdy black liberal that he should maybe, you know, make some recess appointments to the NRLB.

Keep it real!
