Following up on another reader tip, Sami Moubayed offers his “expert opinion” as an “independent journalist” on the Washington Post’s PostGlobal site. This, from Moubayed’s bio on the WaPo’s site:
Sami Moubayed is a Syrian political analyst, journalist, and author. Moubayed is the author of Damascus Between Democracy and Dictatorship (2000) and Steel & Silk: Men and Women Who Shaped Syria 1900-2000 (2005). He is also a co-founder of al-Sharq Center for Strategic Studies, the first independent think-tank in Syria. In 2004, he created Syrianhistory.com, the first and online museum of Syrian history. It contains over 2,000 photographs, documents, and rare audiovisual material on Syria during the years 1900-2000.

Even more damning from this article, “There is only one Hasan Nasrallah”:
History however, is written by the victors. So long as America and Israel continue to write history then Nasrallah will be remembered in the West as a “terrorist” like Osama Bin Laden.
If the Arabs write their history – or the Americans write it freed of Israeli influence, then Nasrallah would get his due place in history as a selfless uncorrupted nationalist.
Hasan Nasrallah would get his due place in history as a selfless uncorrupted nationalist? Wouldn’t it be helpful for readers to know this when reading his entries on the Washington Post’s website?
