Blogger Greg Sargent is blustering over the “inane construct” in yesterday’s Washington Post front-pager on Hillary Clinton’s campaign that “centrist” Democrats are the “national security wing” of the party. He said it makes the Post sound like the echo chamber of Joe Lieberman. A quick search shows the term is extremely rare in the Post.
I agree with the “inane construct” line – because Lieberman IS the “national security wing” of the Democratic Party right now. The rest are, to be generous, the “peace wing.” But then, I also think it’s a bit inane for the word “centrist” and “Hillary” to be anywhere close in the same paragraph.
