Sexy Mail Sinks CNN Reporter

The New York Post is playing catch-up. As revealed last month , CNN’s chief Africa correspondent Jeff Koinange has been forced to quit, reports the Post yesterday.

The Post adds that Koinange – a Peabody award-winning journalist who had been the 24-hour news network’s Africa correspondent since 2001 – actually sent out dozens of lascivious e-mails to a woman, emails which ended up on the Internet.
Surely Koinange would have been better off spending his time on doing additional reporting from Darfur where a government-backed Arab militia is carrying out genocidal policies against the non-Arab indigenous black population.

Tom GrossTom Gross is a former Middle East correspondent for the London Sunday Telegraph and the New York Daily News.
