Timberlake and Biel: Profiles in Moral Seriousness

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel from a Las Vegas rally for Obama:

Timberlake was chatty and goofy, Biel more polished, but both were earnest as they pleaded with the group to help mobilize the youth vote.

Noting that the next president’s Supreme Court appointments could determine the future of legal abortions, Biel said, “Nobody should be able to say what you can do with your body.”

Timberlake joked, “I give Jess the right to choose where we go to eat all the time. The funny thing is, what the woman chooses is usually right.”

“Brownie points for you,” Biel teased him.

“I know where my bread is buttered,” Timberlake responded.

Choosing a restaurant, having an abortion: all the same thing, really. Does Obama agree with that analysis?
