Weatherization-gate Watch

Let’s take a look at Georgia:

Some $124.5 million in federal stimulus funds are to be distributed to the elderly and to low-income Georgians this year for weatherization home repairs. The program began Nov. 1 and is administered by the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority.

These funds will be administered mostly by community action agencies across the state. Phone numbers and contact numbers are available at gefa.org under the “Programs and Activities” tab.

Criteria for weatherization assistance is limited to people identified by the 2000 census as low income not exceeding 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

And clicking through the www.gefa.org link above, you find that the community group which administers weatherization assistance in the City of Atlanta is Southeast Energy Assistance, as well as 21 other localities in entire state.

Here’s an anecdotal review of Southeast Energy Assistance:

Atlanta senior citizens my name’s James Pitts and i want to WARN all of you NOT TO ALLOW SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE TO WEATHERIZE YOUR HOMES!

SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE did work to my now deceased mother’s home in Febuary 2008 and after 7 months of her passing away, the walls began to crack and bulge, SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE ”WILL NOT” TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG WITH YOUR HOME AFTER THEY’VE BLOWN INSULATION INTO YOUR WALLS.

SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE is paid with grant money through the city of Atlanta, and i WARN ALL OF YOU WHO MAY NEED YOUR HOMES WEATHERIZED NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. Lila Blake is the director of this “RIP-OFF” NON-PROFIT and she will not even talk to you once you file a complaint concerning any damage your home begins to show after the work her company does to it.

Let me also inform all SENIOR CITIZENS WHO MAY NEED YOUR HOMES WEATHERIZED that if you complain to SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE about any cracks in your walls or bulges in them after this company has blown insulation into your walls, they will BLAME THE AGE OF YOUR HOME FOR THE REASON YOUR WALLS ARE CRACKED AND BULGED.

The reason i’m posting this discussion today is because i don’t want another SENIOR CITIZEN to go through what i’m currently going through with this “RIP-OFF” NON-PROFIT.

If you’d like to see photos of the damages SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE has done to my late mother’s home, i have no issue showing them to you. I’ve posted the name, address, and phone number of this “RIP-OFF” NON-PROFIT below so that if you ever see it DO NOT ALLOW SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE TO TOUCH YOUR HOMES.

SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE

214 Fourteenth St. N.W.

AGAIN ALL SENIOR CITIZENS IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHEAST ENERGY ASSISTANCE, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

I want to hear from ALL PEOPLE who’ve allowed this RIP OFF non-profit to weatherize your homes to contact me, i’d like to know if you’re having any difficulties in getting Southeast Energy Assistance to repair any damages to your homes.  I’d like to know if you now have “BULGING OR CRACKED WALLS that Southeast Energy Assistance REFUSES to repair for you.  I look to hear from anyone who’s allowed this organization into your homes for weatherization work to be done on your homes.

Again, the above is only anecdotal, but there is no indication of oversight as President Obama doles out billions for this weatherization program. Who’s watching the cash-register is and will remain my main interest as I post these stories.
