MSNBC personality Joy Reid once published a Photoshopped image of Senator John McCain’s (R., Ariz.) head over the body of Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho on her now-defunct blog, Buzzfeed News reported Thursday.

The post, published in 2007 and titled “Baghdad John Strikes Again,” criticizes McCain for telling employees at a weapons factory, “I will follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell and I would shoot him with your products.” As archived by the Wayback Machine, it includes the Photoshopped image of McCain at the bottom.

The McCain photo is just the latest in a series of recently exposed blog posts that include a range of content likely considered problematic by Reid’s current employer.

Internet researchers first revealed Reid’s homophobic streak in a series of blog posts from the mid 2000’s in which she labels Florida governor Charlie Crist a closeted homosexual, among other things. Reid took responsibility for that post when it first came to light, but when an addition batch of anti-gay posts were revealed in April, she claimed she was the victim of hacking and denied any responsibility.

Most recently, Buzzfeed News exposed a March 2006 blog post encouraging readers to view a documentary co-produced by InfoWars’ Alex Jones that advances the 9/11 “truther” conspiracy theory. Wednesday evening, just hours after that post was uncovered, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson revealed another post in which Reid advocates immigration restrictionism.

Following Reid’s April claim that the offensive posts were the product of hacking, her attorney said the FBI had opened a criminal investigation into the matter, but the bureau has not independently confirmed the probe.

MSNBC issued a statement in April announcing that Reid would not be subject to any disciplinary action while the hacking investigation was ongoing.
