Appearing on The View Wednesday, Michael Avenatti refused to answer when asked if his client, Julie Swetnick, had been sexually assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh, moments after he went public with Swetnick’s claims that the Supreme Court nominee was “present” during her gang rape.
“Did he do anything to this particular woman, Julie Swetnick, or is she alleging that she has just seen him be aggressive with other women?” co-host Sunny Hostin asked.
“Well I think the allegations, Sunny, if you read further in the declaration, are far more specific relating to Brett Kavanaugh’s conduct, including the attempts to drug women by placing grain alcohol or drugs in the punch at these parties. Many of these women ended up gang raped unfortunately,” Avenatti responded.
“The details in this declaration are specific, they are shocking, but above all else they are true. My client stands behind them 100 percent and she’s looking forward to having the opportunity to meet with one or more FBI agents hopefully and describe what happened. And she’s also prepared to testify if she’s permitted to do so to the U.S. Senate,” he added.

Avenatti, who established himself by representing porn star Stormy Daniels in her suit against President Trump, also included in his Wednesday tweet a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee asking that Swetnick’s allegations be investigated by the FBI.

Swetnick claims to have frequented parties hosted and attended by Kavanaugh and his friends during her time as a high school student in the Washington, D.C. area in the 1980s. She says that she witnessed Kavanaugh “grinding” on girls without their consent and behaving in a sexually aggressive manner at those parties.
While she does not allege to have witnessed Kavanaugh participate in gang rape, she said she saw Kavanaugh waiting in line outside a room where she believed an assault was taking place. She also claims he and his friend Mark Judge were “present” when she was assaulted at one such party.
