Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized After Fall

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized Thursday morning after falling in her office.

Ginsberg fell Wednesday evening and was admitted to George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. after being uncomfortable overnight. She is being treated for three fractured ribs, the Supreme Court said.

Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment,” a statement from the Supreme Court said.

The 85-year-old is the oldest justice and one of four liberals currently on the court. She broke two ribs in June, 2012 in another fall and has twice survived cancer. In 2014, she had a stent inserted into her right coronary artery.
