Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren was harassed by a group of 20-somethings who threw water on her and yelled profanities, but she had friends in high places on her side afterward.
A pack of young people recognized Lahren at a Minneapolis restaurant where she was dining with her parents, and filmed themselves tossing water at her, calling her “racist,” and yelling for her to leave. Lahren can be seen in the footage walking out of the crowded restaurant as the angry guests call after her.
President Trump tweeted support for the Fox News personality afterward, saying “everyone is with” her.

More surprisingly, virulently anti-Trump comedian Kathy Griffin spoke out against the bullying.
“I don’t think it’s cool to resort to physical actions to make your point,” said Griffin, who has shared in the past that she was bullied as a child. “The first amendment is a beautiful thing – use it.”

Lahren thanked her supporters and included an apparent nod to Griffin.
I appreciate the words of support- even from those who normally dislike me. Free speech is a gift- no need to resort to that kind of attack. I’ll discuss the restaurant incident on @foxandfriends tomorrow morning.

“This was something that was embarrassing for me, embarrassing for my family. At the end of the day I’m a person too and I do get humiliated and embarrassed just like anyone else but I’m tough, my family’s tough, we can handle it,” Lahren said on Fox News. “I think looking back those are the people that are going to be embarrassed by their actions. I think their parents raised them better.”
