President Trump continued to mock Senator Elizabeth Warren’s claim to Native American ancestry Tuesday, citing the Cherokee Nation’s rejection of the Massachusetts lawmaker’s use of a DNA test to substantiate her Native American heritage.
Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed. She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, “DNA test is useless.” Even they don’t want her. Phony!

Warren released the results of a DNA analysis Monday indicating she is removed by six to ten generations from her closest Native American ancestor, which qualifies her as anywhere from 1/64th to 1/1024th Native American. Warren’s campaign team released the results as part of a campaign ad that highlights Warren’s working class Oklahoma roots.
The Cherokee Nation criticized Warren’s use of a DNA test to corroborate her Native American ancestry claim, accusing her of “undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”
“Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong,” said Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. “It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven.”
Trump, who vowed during a rally to pay $1 million to a charity of Warren’s choice if she could prove her Native American ancestry, dismissed the test results Monday when questioned by reporters.
“Who cares? I didn’t say that. You better read it again,” Trump said of his pledge, adding that he “hopes” Warren challenges him for the presidency in 2020.
“I think she’d be very easy. I do not think she’d be difficult at all. She’ll destroy the country. She’ll make our country into Venezuela,” Trump told reporters on the White House lawn. “It’s going to be a long process for the Democrats.”
