Rapper Kanye West will meet with President Trump and top adviser Jared Kushner this week, the White House said Tuesday morning.

“Kanye West is coming to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and he will also meet with Jared Kushner,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. “Topics of discussions will include manufacturing resurgence in America, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence, and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago.”

West caused a firestorm when he voiced support for Trump, wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live.

“Actually, blacks weren’t always Democrats,” West said on the show. “It’s like a plan they did to take the fathers out the homes and promote welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s the Democratic plan.”

West’s wife, model and reality-show star Kim Kardashian, met with Trump in May to discuss prison reform and ask him to commute the life sentence of African-American great grandmother Alice Marie Johnson, who was convicted on a first-time, non-violent drug offense. The president commuted Johnson’s sentence a week later.
