At the NAS meeting in Washington, AAUP president Cary Nelson said that his organization wants to knock out speech codes and protect freedom of speech on campus. But as UNC-Wilmington professor Mike Adams argues here, the AAUP has a rather poor record in defending free speech when it involves people who aren’t in line with leftist orthodoxy.
